A little bit about Brass Aid™ In 2003 we opened Trumpeter’s Ink, a music studio for trumpet players.  As our students joined orchestras, jazz and big bands, they began searching for mute holders that worked whether standing or sitting so in 2008 we engineered the Silent Mute Tray™, which we believe is the most practical mute holder on the market today.  A short time later we changed our name to Brass Aid™. Before our Silent Mute Tray (SMT™), we could not find a mute holder that allowed quick, convenient and dependable access to mutes and fold for easy transport at the same time.
